Cortney returns to Andover as the JV coach after taking a few years off. Cortney played volleyball at Andover as a setter, with two State Tournament appearances. She also played basketball and fastpitch, and was the Athena Award recipient for her graduating class of 2006. Cortney completed her undergrad in Marketing Communications and Business from UW-River Falls in 2009, and earned a master’s degree in Strategic Communication Management in 2018. Cortney started coaching club volleyball while in college, then went on to be a float coach in the Andover Volleyball Program. She continues to play volleyball, while coaching a variety of youth athletics in local areas. Her goal is to prepare young athletes for each stage of life by improving their skillset, promoting perseverance, and developing emotional intelligence and awareness. Off the court, Cortney works for a global supply chain company, and has her own design and lettering business. She has been married to her husband, Nate – an Andover alum, for 8 years. They have three children – Lucy (6), Mila (3), & Jack (1) – and love to go “glamping”, go to baseball games (Go Twins!), and be outdoors.
